Volstead has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The environment is exactly what you want in a bar - welcoming and comfortable with a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The staff really makes the experience. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly takes pride in what they do. You can tell they enjoy being there, which makes a huge difference. Shout out to my bartender Cedes!! The drinks were delicious - well-crafted and thoughtfully made. Whether you're looking for a classic cocktail or something more creative, they deliver. Highly recommend checking out Volstead if you're looking for a quality bar experience with great service and even better drinks!

Checked out Volstead on a Sunday night and was not disappointed. They were having swing Sunday and there was an instructor teaching swing dancing which was super cute there were quite a few couples participating to my surprise. The bar tenders were so friendly and had great suggestions. The swing night only lasted until 9 I believe then they play their regular music. Very fun night.

Amazing place! Such a unique place and the drink selection is out of this world! I loved the Dealers's Choice. Cody, the bartender, is one of the best! His Dealer Choices were spot on!

Jazz was the most AMAZING bartender we’ve ever had! This establishment is so relaxed and even being the only two here at the end of the night, it’s he conversation and attention that was given to us speaks VOLUMES. Come visit her. She really is fantastic, and I would recommend visiting this place a million times over. She works here Mondays and Fridays. Come see her. 😉

What a fun and historic speakeasy. My wife and I go here from time to time and we really enjoy the place. It has the right right atmosphere. The drinks are on point and taste very well. Bartenders are always very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone who has never been and also those that have been. Very, very cool place.

My wife and I went on a Friday. Live band was playing and there was a old black and white (leather helmets) football game playing on the projector. Jas was our bartender, she was meticulous with every drink she prepared. The service and drinks top notch. Which made us go back the following Saturday.

There is no food so 5 stars there. Diverse bar meets high end cocktail options. Clientele is extremely diverse. The speak easy vibe is excellent. This place has so many bottles of everything so ask away. Service was fast and supportive of questions. A great hidden gem.

Want to know something funny? Couldn’t find it. And then we realized, and then we laughed at how stupid we were. Four of us tried the “Dealers Choice” and each of us LOVED the drink. There was one bartender on a Tuesday afternoon, but no one went without a drink and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Come here if you want to enjoy your drink, not to drink it fast. Will be back again hopefully.

Hidden Gem. We research places before we visit but didn't know about this place until a local told us about it. Best stop of our night. The Bartender was exceptional. The cocktail menu had a Dealers Choice selection. The bartender asked us questions, listened to our likes and dislikes and make us 2 custom cocktails. Both were unique, absolutely fantastic, and even better when he made us perfect duplicates for a 2nd round.

The Volstead was hands-down, the most recommended bar in all of Jacksonville. Many people told us to go here. We are from LA and no stranger to Mixology. However, this Mixology is done with that offbeat fun art student vibe. The music is great. The client tells eclectic and everyone appears approachable. This is also a great place to people watch as everyone appears smart an eclectic, and nowhere to hang. One of the best whiskey sours served up with egg white I’ve ever had in my life. It was strong Made well by a no-nonsense Bartender and it drank as such.
